EWS Awas Yojana Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant has to pay a deposit of Rs.7,500 (Rupees seven thousand five hundred only) along with the application form.
- The applicant has to pay at least 20% of the total cost of the house (the balance excluding the deposit paid along with the application) within three months of the successful “Draw” as notified by the Municipal Corporation. The remaining 80% shall be paid in equal ten (10) installments (approximately 80% of the total amount in a year) to the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation from time to time,
- In addition maintenance deposit and other charges shall be paid along with the last installment. The remaining 80% amount has to be paid in the same bank where 20% amount has been deposited by the applicant.
- The applicant will be handed over the possession of the allotted house only after the completion of the construction of the housing scheme, completion of the documentary process and payment of the full stipulated cost of the house.
- The total annual income of all the members of the family together should not exceed Rs.3,00,000.
- Wherever family is mentioned for this scheme, family means oneself, one’s spouse and one’s unmarried children.
- An adult member of the family who does not own a pucca house or plot of land in India is entitled to housing under the PMAY scheme regardless of his marital status.
- Photo must be uploaded in the application form.
- Reservation for allotment of houses for reserved category as per the exchanges is allotted as follows.
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of India
- The annual family income of the applicant should be Rs 3 lakh
